## The story

The idea of O'Heasleys started back in 2020. I was teaching remotely from the room and I had a few random posters up and nasty old carpet. Since I was spending so much time in the room, I decided to lay down some gym flooring and mounted one baseball card display. The cards were packed in storage and I had a bunch of memorabilia from when I was a kid.  It spiraled out of control from there lol. I collect cards, jerseys, hats, bobbleheads, cleats, bats, balls, gloves, catchers gear, newspapers, magazines, stickers, beer cans, signed baseballs, etc.  The bar table I picked up while antiquing with my very awesome and understanding wife.  O'Heasleys has hosted playoff games,  after work happy hours, all star games, opening days, etc with great friends and family.  The room has had some great times, including the Freeman walk off last year.  Anytime the Dodgers Nation crew is rolling through Bako hit me up and come have some drinks\!

I have an O'Heasleys sign outside the room (made by my dad), a signed Blue Crew hat signed by Steve Sax when I met him at a local Albertsons when I was five, my first fitted dodger hat from when I was 8yo in 1988,.  Many of the photos I framed I took myself at the ballpark.  We play video games in the cave, too (there are literally 100s of retro baseball games including a Hideo Nomo and Tommy Lasorda game).  My all time favorite is Jackie Robinson.  I'm a US history teacher so my admiration for him goes beyond baseball.  I feature him throughout the room.  Even though the room is mostly Dodgers, I represent some of my favorite non Dodgers players (Bo, Griffey, Jordan, etc) and musicians (Marley, Santana, Ozomatli, etc).  I also rep my family as well (my grandfathers golf clubs/my dad's umpire mask/brother's college football helmet/pics of my great uncle who played for the NY Giants/a family photo from the ballpark on Kershaw’s no hitter in 2014, etc).
