## The story

“From Chavez Ravine to Cornfields — A True Blue FanCave”

I was born and raised in Los Angeles and have been a Dodger fan since the late ’60s and early ’70s. I loved going to Dodger Stadium back in those days and was lucky enough to see them win in 1988 with that infamous home run by Kirk Gibson. Watching the Dodgers win again in 2020—when no one could be in the stands—and then in 2024, when Freddie Freeman hit his grand slam against the Yankees on the same date and time as Kirk’s homer, was truly amazing!

What inspired my setup:
Being so far from LA, I wanted to create a space that keeps me connected to home and to my lifelong team. My office FanCave lets me bring a little piece of Dodger Stadium right here to Jasper, Indiana. It’s my daily reminder of where I come from, the memories I’ve made, and the pride I still carry for my team—win or lose.

Even though I’m surrounded by Reds and Cardinals fans who give me no mercy, I proudly hold the title of “Best Dodger Fan in Indiana!”

My office is decked out in all things Dodger Blue—from my Dodger bat flag and championship pennants to my LA Times final edition from the 2024 World Series. I’ve got Dodger coffee cups, water bottles, and even Dodger lotion! My neon Dodgers sign (thanks to my husband!) lights up the room, and my Dodger wall clock keeps perfect time for game days.

I even have a Dodgers World Series light switch, a chair draped with my Dodger blanket and seat cover, and a document holder on my door proudly displaying that the Dodgers were World Series Champions in 2024. Every corner of my office shows my pride!

During October, my “Dodger pumpkin” makes its return—decked out with the team logo and hat. And when Christmas rolls around, my office glows in blue and white lights.

Like the saying goes, “They hate us ’cause they ain’t us!” I might be far from LA, but I’m proud to bring my True Blue spirit to Indiana—forever a Dodger fan through and through.
