Official Rules

These rules govern being featured on Fan Cave Battles and any prize that comes with it. They take precedence over the Terms of Use where the two differ.

2. Who can enter

Open to legal residents of the fifty United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of Fletcher Media, Inc., its participating publishers, and their immediate families and households are not eligible. Void where prohibited.

3. When

Fan Cave Battles runs on a continuing basis. Entries are accepted at any time and are considered for the episodes produced after they arrive. An entry stays in the pool for future episodes unless you ask us to remove it.

4. How to enter

Submit your fan cave at fancavenation.com/submit. Entry is free. Complete the form, agree to the licence and these rules, and upload the photographs the form asks for. One fan cave per person. Entries that are incomplete, that use photographs the entrant does not have the right to give, or that appear staged or copied are disqualified.

Internet access is required to enter and is your own responsibility. We are not liable for entries that are lost, late or not received for technical reasons.

5. How caves are chosen

This is a contest of skill, not a random drawing. Caves are selected by Fletcher Media, Inc. and judged within their own budget bracket, so entries are compared against rooms built on a comparable budget rather than against every entry at once. Judging considers:

• The room itself — how it has been put together within its bracket.
• The story behind it.
• The quality and completeness of the photographs submitted.

Decisions of the judges are final and binding. Where entries are tied, the entry with the stronger written story as determined by the judges prevails.

6. Prizes

Fans featured on an episode receive a FanCaveNation certificate and, where one is offered for that episode, a gift card. The prize and its approximate retail value (ARV) for any given episode are stated in the call-out for that episode.

Prizes are not transferable and no substitution is permitted except by the Sponsor, who may substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Any difference between the stated ARV and the actual value is not awarded. All federal, state and local taxes on a prize are the winner's responsibility. Winners may be required to complete a W-9 where the law requires one.

Being featured without a prize attached is not a prize and creates no obligation on either side.

7. Winner notification

We contact featured fans at the email address on their entry. If we cannot reach you within seven days, or a message bounces, we may select another entry. We may ask you to confirm your eligibility and to sign a release before a prize is sent.

8. Publicity

By entering, you agree that Fletcher Media, Inc. may use your name, city and state, your submitted photographs and your story to publicise FanCaveNation and the show, in any medium, without further compensation — except where prohibited by law. This is the same licence described in the Terms of Use, and it ends when you ask us to stop, as described there.

We never publish your street address or the value of anything in your room.

9. General conditions

The Sponsor may disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, the ratings, or the operation of the site, or who acts in a way that is disruptive or unfair to other entrants. The Sponsor may modify, suspend or end the contest if it cannot be run as planned, and will say so on this page.

By entering you release Fletcher Media, Inc., its publishers and their respective officers, employees and agents from any liability for loss or injury arising from entering, from being featured, or from accepting or using a prize.

10. Not affiliated with any platform, team or league

This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, Meta, or any other platform on which it may be promoted. You are providing your information to Fletcher Media, Inc. and not to any of those platforms.

FanCaveNation is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any sports team, league or player.

11. Winners list

Featured fan caves are published on this site as they air. For a written list, send a request to legal@fancavenation.com or to the Sponsor's address above.

12. Privacy

Information collected from entrants is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing law

These rules are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
