The story

I have been a Dodger fan since 1963 when my brother’s team, the Yankees, got beat by the LA Dodgers. I bought my first yearbook in 1969, sending off a check to 1000 Elysian Ave. I have most all years since then and also buying 1955 and 56. When my children grew up and moved out I took over a bedroom, started with official Dodger Blue paint, put out a number of signed baseballs (and my first baseball card ever, a Manny Mota Colt 45 card that I later sent to LA and got him to sign it). I began competing in auctions and purchasing autograph photos and balls, especially those raising money for charities. I have all Dodger pitchers who won the Cy Young, Dodger MVPs going back to Don. Newcombe, the Dodger infield of the 1970s, Vin Scully, a 45 of Koufax 9th inning perfect game and a 33 rpm of Drysdale’s 6 shutouts, a Keyshawn rookie audio autograph message to me, and a collection of older Dodger like Pee Wee, Duke, Leo,Dolphe, Carl and others personal favorites like Wes Parker and Ron Fairly. The centerpiece is a Henry Aaron hitting 714 off Al Downing signed by Aaron and the large Koufax autograph photo.

The Sandy Koufax large photo that I won in an auction, getting it for $350, the Lasorda autograph photo that I got when I met him in the suites when I won the tickets in a Mastercard promotion. (I asked hi who he would pitch in a game 7, Kershaw or Koufax and he responded Koufax, like it was the dumbest question ever…) and the album and 45 , which are pretty unique. I posted my room on my YouTube page. Search Cassio Saverino.
